Nike South Africa Donates Soccer Boots to Dona's Mates Youth Development Project
The Nike SA CR Team Product Manager Jackie Mondi and her Team donated 48 pairs of Soccer Boots to the Dona’s Mates Youth Development Football Academy. This type of donation came at the right moment as Dona’s Mates Metropolitan Team gained promotion to the main Stream of the SAFA JHB SAB LEAGUE and theABSA Sponsored Ladies League where Dona’s Mates Ladies are also playing will boost the confidence of all aspiring young men and women at Dona’s Mates Youth Development Project. This kind of support augurs well for the future of this instituton and those that are involved
We will be able to continue developing players of high quality even though there’s still a lot of support required to support the other age groups within the structure. We still need support with our under 6, 8, 10, 12, & 14. We will continue to seek funding from a number of corporate companies who don’t believe in investing their Finances in Grassroots Development. We will never give up hope of achieving our long term goal of having our own properly build Facilities which will be user friendly even to the girl child, so says James “Maradona” Shabangu, the Founder and Chairperson of Dona’s Mates Youth Football Academy.
